An international FPSO operator seeks a Commissioning Lead to oversee pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for a major project in the Brazil Campos Basin, with potential assignments at FPSO conversion yards in Dalian (COSCO) and WHP fabrication in Dubai. You will ensure systems are safely and efficiently handed over from construction to operations.
π― Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules for topsides, marine, and utility systems.
Lead a multi-disciplinary commissioning team, coordinating with construction, engineering, and operations.
Manage system completion processes (punch lists, pre-commissioning, and performance testing).
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and client standards.
Conduct risk assessments and troubleshoot technical issues during commissioning phases.
Interface with vendors for equipment testing and certification (e.g., compressors, generators, and control systems).
Prepare and deliver commissioning documentation, including test reports and handover certificates.
β Core Requirements
Bachelorβs degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred).
12+ years of experience in offshore commissioning, with at least 5 years in a lead role on FPSO projects.
Proven track record of commissioning topsides process, utility, and safety systems.
Strong knowledge of industry standards (API, IEC, and ISO) and safety regulations (e.g., ATEX, IECEx).
Experience with system completion software (e.g., ICAPS, ProCoSys, or similar).
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to travel and work at international yard sites (Brazil, China, UAE).

NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification.
