We are seeking an E&I Lead for an international FPSO operator, responsible for managing electrical and instrumentation engineering activities across the project lifecycle. Based in the Brazil Campos Basin, with assignments at FPSO conversion yards in Dalian (COSCO) and WHP fabrication in Dubai, you will ensure E&I systems are designed, installed, and commissioned to the highest standards.
π― Key Responsibilities
Lead the E&I engineering team in developing and reviewing electrical and instrumentation designs, including single-line diagrams, loop diagrams, and cable schedules.
Oversee the selection and specification of E&I equipment (switchgear, motors, VFDs, DCS, PLCs, and field instruments).
Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integration of E&I systems with process, mechanical, and piping designs.
Participate in HAZOP, SIL, and functional safety studies for E&I systems.
Manage E&I deliverables for FEED, detailed design, and commissioning phases.
Interface with vendors, classification societies (e.g., DNV, ABS), and client for technical approvals.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards (IEC, API, and ATEX), and safety regulations.
β Core Requirements
Bachelorβs degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
10+ years of experience in offshore oil & gas, with a focus on FPSO E&I systems.
Proficiency in E&I design software (e.g., SPEL, ETAP, or SmartPlant Instrumentation).
Strong knowledge of hazardous area classification, SIL assessment, and functional safety (IEC 61508/61511).
Experience with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems (e.g., Yokogawa, Siemens, or Emerson).
Familiarity with international codes (IEC, API, and NORSOK).
Excellent communication and team management skills.

Experience with FPSO conversion projects and Brazilian regulatory standards (NR-10, NR-13).
Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification.
