A leading FPSO operator is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead the pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for FPSO topside and marine systems across their Asia-Pacific project portfolio. This high-visibility contract role involves site-based work at fabrication yards and offshore locations, requiring a seasoned professional who can effectively manage commissioning teams and interface with multiple stakeholder groups.
As Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing commissioning strategies that align with project schedules and client expectations. You will oversee the preparation of commissioning procedures, manage preservation programs, coordinate hook-up and pre-startup activities, and ensure all safety and quality requirements are met before handover to operations. Your expertise will be critical in identifying and resolving commissioning challenges while maintaining focus on project milestones.

๐ฏ Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup activities for FPSO topside and marine systems
Develop comprehensive commissioning plans, procedures, and execution strategies aligned with project schedules
Manage commissioning budgets, manpower forecasting, and resource allocation across project phases
Coordinate with construction, hook-up, and brownfield operations teams to ensure smooth transition to commissioning
Conduct and oversee pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR) and system turnover documentation
Interface with client representatives, class surveyors, and regulatory authorities on commissioning matters
Lead commissioning meetings, progress reviews, and risk assessment workshops
Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and industry commissioning standards throughout all activities
โ Core Requirements
Minimum 10 years of commissioning experience in offshore oil and gas, with at least 5 years in a lead commissioning role
Proven track record as Commissioning Manager on FPSO, FLNG, or major offshore platform projects
Comprehensive knowledge of topside process systems including separation, compression, water treatment, and export
Familiarity with marine systems commissioning including ballast, bilge, firefighting, and mooring
Strong understanding of pre-commissioning vs. commissioning scope and interface management
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering preferred
BOSIET, HUET, and valid offshore survival certifications required
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities

Commissioning Manager experience with major international EPC contractors project delivery
Experience with FPSO turret and mooring system commissioning
Knowledge of FPSO production chemistry and process startup procedures
Experience commissioning systems for greenfield deepwater developments
International Commissioning Society (ICS) certification or equivalent
