We are seeking an I&C Lead to manage the full Instrumentation & Controls scope for a complex FPSO conversion and WHP project. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive the engineering, procurement, and construction phases across multiple international yards, ensuring the delivery of a fully functional control system for deepwater operations.
π― Key Responsibilities
Lead the I&C discipline, managing a team of engineers and designers across the Dalian and Dubai work sites.
Own the I&C deliverables list, including instrument indexes, specifications, and control system architecture.
Manage the procurement lifecycle for all I&C equipment, from technical bid evaluation to vendor follow-up.
Ensure design compliance with project HSE philosophies, including fire and gas detection mapping.
Coordinate 3D model reviews for instrument location, cable trays, and junction boxes.
Oversee the pre-commissioning and commissioning phases, including loop checking and system handover.
Interface with the hull and marine systems team for integration of ballast control and cargo monitoring systems.
β Core Requirements
Bachelorβs degree in Instrumentation, Control, or Electrical Engineering.
10+ years of experience in offshore projects, with a focus on FPSO topsides and WHPs.
Strong knowledge of industry codes (ISA, API, NEMA) and hazardous area classification.
Experience with FPSO conversion projects, including brownfield modifications.
Proficiency in 3D design tools (PDMS/E3D or Smart 3D) and SPI.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and change orders.
Excellent problem-solving skills for site construction and commissioning issues.
Fluent English; Mandarin or Portuguese is a plus.

Experience with subsea control system interfaces (umbilicals, SCMs).
Previous experience working in Chinese or Middle Eastern fabrication yards.
