We are looking for a senior ICSS/Instrument Lead to manage the Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) scope for a large-scale FPSO project. This role bridges the gap between instrumentation hardware and control system software, ensuring the DCS, ESD, F&G, and HIPPS systems are fully integrated and tested for operations in the Campos Basin.
π― Key Responsibilities
Lead the ICSS engineering scope, including DCS (e.g., Yokogawa, Emerson), ESD, F&G, and HIPPS systems.
Manage the interface between field instrumentation and the control system architecture.
Review and approve Cause & Effect diagrams, control narratives, and logic diagrams.
Oversee Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for ICSS cabinets and panels.
Coordinate with the Instrument Lead to ensure alignment on cable schedules, marshalling, and junction boxes.
Ensure cybersecurity compliance per IEC 62443 for the ICSS network architecture.
Support commissioning activities, including loop checks, function testing, and system startup.
β Core Requirements
Bachelorβs degree in Control Systems, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
12+ years of experience in offshore oil & gas, with specific expertise in ICSS for FPSO topsides.
Deep knowledge of safety system logic (ESD, F&G) and SIL-rated applications.
Hands-on experience with major DCS platforms (Yokogawa Centum VP or Emerson DeltaV preferred).
Proficiency in functional safety engineering (IEC 61508/61511).
Experience with FPSO conversion projects and WHP integration.
Strong understanding of serial links, OPC, and Modbus communication protocols.
Excellent communication skills for managing interfaces between engineering, construction, and client teams.

TΓV Functional Safety Engineer certification.
Experience with Brazilian regulatory standards (NR-13, NR-10).
