Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator (Offshore) manages the day-to-day logistics operations supporting offshore installations, coordinating the movement of personnel, equipment, and materials between onshore supply bases and offshore locations. This role is essential for maintaining operational continuity and ensuring that offshore campaigns have the resources they need, when they need them.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily logistics operations including supply vessel scheduling, helicopter flights, and road transport for offshore supply
- Manage cargo manifesting, documentation, and customs clearance for international shipments to offshore locations
- Plan and track material movements from vendor/warehouse through supply base to offshore installation
- Coordinate with vessel masters, helicopter operators, and base managers on scheduling and priority management
- Maintain logistics tracking systems and provide real-time visibility of material and personnel movements
- Process purchase order receipt and goods receipt documentation in ERP systems
- Manage Dangerous Goods documentation and compliance for offshore cargo shipments
- Coordinate mobilization and demobilization logistics for offshore project campaigns
- Resolve logistics issues including delays, damage, and shortages through proactive communication and problem-solving
- Prepare logistics reports including cost tracking, KPI performance, and operational summaries
Qualifications
Required
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; or equivalent operational experience
- Certifications: Dangerous Goods certification preferred; customs and trade compliance training advantageous
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in offshore logistics coordination; experience with supply base and vessel operations
- Technical Skills: Logistics management systems; ERP systems (SAP MM); cargo manifesting and documentation; Dangerous Goods regulations; supply vessel and helicopter operations knowledge
Preferred
- Experience with international offshore logistics across multiple regions
- Knowledge of subsea equipment handling and preservation requirements
- Digital logistics platform and track-and-trace experience
- Multi-project logistics coordination experience
