Offshore HVAC Design Engineer

A leading international EPC contractor is seeking an Offshore HVAC Design Engineer to design HVAC systems for offshore platforms and FPSO living quarters, control rooms, and process buildings across the APAC region.You will conduct load calculation, equipment selection, duct layout, and system debugging. Complying with offshore explosion-proof, hazardous area classification, and DNV/ABS safety standards, you will cooperate with E&I and architectural teams for seamless system integration.This role is ideal for HVAC engineers looking to specialize in the offshore environment with a global leader.

• Design HVAC systems for offshore platforms/FPSO living quarters, control rooms, and process buildings, including air conditioning, ventilation, heating, and explosion-proof design
• Conduct load calculation, equipment selection, duct layout, and system debugging
• Prepare HVAC design documents and construction drawings
• Comply with offshore explosion-proof, hazardous area classification, and DNV/ABS safety standards
• Cooperate with E&I and architectural teams to complete system integration and on-site commissioning
• Conduct HVAC system optimization for offshore environmental conditions
• Participate in design reviews and safety risk assessments

• Proficient in HVAC design software: Revit MEP, HAP, or AutoCAD; master HVAC system design principles
• Familiar with offshore hazardous area HVAC requirements, explosion-proof design, and industry standards
• Experience in offshore/FPSO HVAC design, capable of independent system design and optimization
• Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or related
• 4+ years of offshore HVAC design experience in oil and gas projects
• Fluent English for technical communication and document preparation

• Experience with ATEX/IECEx explosion-proof HVAC design for offshore hazardous areas
• Familiarity with DNV NO-OS-C201, NORSOK, or equivalent HVAC standards
• Knowledge of HVAC control systems and BMS integration
• Experience with FPSO living quarters and control room HVAC design
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional qualification

• Competitive daily rate: USD 280 – 400 per day (commensurate with experience)
• Permanent salary: MYR 7,500 – 13,000/month + allowances
