Offshore Topside Structural Design Engineer

A leading international EPC contractor is seeking an Offshore Topside Structural Design Engineer to deliver structural design for offshore platform and FPSO topside modules, including process, utility, and living quarters structures.You will conduct static/dynamic stress, fatigue, seismic, and wind-wave load analysis; prepare structural drawings, calculation reports, and construction documents. Cooperating with process, piping, and E&I teams, you will complete integrated design and drive design review and optimization processes.This role is ideal for structural engineers looking to advance in offshore/FPSO projects with a global leader.

• Structural design of offshore platform/FPSO topside modules (process, utility, living quarters), including module frame, equipment support, and structural analysis
• Conduct static/dynamic stress, fatigue, seismic, and wind-wave load analysis
• Prepare structural drawings, calculation reports, and construction documents
• Cooperate with process, piping, and E&I teams to complete integrated design
• Conduct design review and structural optimization
• Comply with ABS, DNV, API offshore structural design codes
• Interface with clients, verification bodies, and shipyards as required

• Proficient in structural design software: SACS, ANSYS, or STAAD.Pro; skilled in 3D modeling and finite element analysis
• Solid experience in topside structural design, familiar with offshore module structural standards and construction requirements
• Ability to conduct structural optimization, fatigue assessment, and design verification
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related
• 5+ years of offshore topside structural design experience in oil and gas projects
• Fluent English for technical document preparation and communication

• Experience with FPSO topside structural design for conversion or newbuild projects
• Familiarity with ABS Rules, DNVGL-CG-0128, or API offshore structural codes
• Knowledge of offshore module lifting and padeye design
• Experience with Samsung, Keppel, or Sembcorp shipyard delivery approaches
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional qualification

• Competitive daily rate: USD 300 – 450 per day (commensurate with experience)
• Permanent salary: MYR 9,000 – 14,000/month + allowances
