Offshore Wind Substructure Design Engineer

A leading international EPC contractor is seeking an Offshore Wind Substructure Design Engineer to deliver structural design of offshore wind turbine substructures (monopile, jacket, floating foundation) for emerging offshore wind projects across the APAC region.You will conduct structural design, hydrodynamic analysis, fatigue and stability assessment. Completing substructure 3D modeling, construction drawing preparation, and design optimization, you will ensure compliance with DNV and IEC offshore wind standards.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the growing offshore wind sector in Asia-Pacific.

• Design offshore wind turbine substructures (monopile, jacket, floating foundation), including structural design, hydrodynamic analysis, fatigue, and stability assessment
• Complete substructure 3D modeling, construction drawing preparation, and design optimization
• Comply with DNV, IEC offshore wind standards and project-specific requirements
• Cooperate with installation teams to adapt design to offshore construction conditions
• Conduct wind-wave-current load analysis and fatigue life assessment
• Prepare technical specifications and engineering documentation
• Interface with clients, verification bodies, and regulatory authorities

• Master SACS, ANSYS AQWA, or Bladed software; proficient in offshore wind substructure design
• Experience in offshore wind jacket/floating foundation design, familiar with wind-wave-current load analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Naval Architecture Engineering or related
• 4+ years of offshore wind design experience in renewable energy projects
• Fluent English for technical document preparation and communication

• Experience with monopile or jacket substructure design for water depths ≥30m
• Familiarity with DNV GL-ST-N001, IEC 61400 series, or equivalent offshore wind standards
• Knowledge of floating offshore wind (Hywind, WindFloat concept) substructure design
• Experience with offshore wind installation vessels and lifting analysis
• Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional qualification

• Competitive daily rate: USD 280 – 420 per day (commensurate with experience)
• Permanent salary: MYR 8,000 – 14,000/month + allowances
