A global offshore EPC contractor is looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to lead the planning, scheduling, and cost control functions for a major project portfolio based in Kuala Lumpur. You will be responsible for establishing the project controls framework, ensuring accurate forecasting, and providing strategic guidance to the project management team to deliver complex offshore projects on time and within budget.
π― Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the overall Project Controls Plan, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), scheduling, and cost baselines.
Lead a team of planners and cost controllers, ensuring alignment with project objectives and corporate reporting standards.
Manage the preparation and analysis of critical path schedules using Primavera P6, including progress measurement and earned value management (EVM).
Oversee the preparation of monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis for management and client review.
Coordinate risk management activities, including quantitative schedule risk analysis (QSRA) and cost risk analysis.
Interface with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate progress and forecast trends.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements regarding reporting, change management, and claims avoidance.
β Core Requirements
Bachelorβs degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance.
Minimum 12 years of experience in project controls, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within offshore EPC projects.
Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
Strong knowledge of EVM principles and contract management (FIDIC/LSTK).
