We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead a major FPSO conversion and WHP project. This executive role is responsible for the overall delivery of the project, from engineering and procurement through construction, integration, and commissioning. You will provide strategic direction to a multi-national team, managing complex interfaces between the Dalian yard, Dubai fabrication site, and the Brazil field operations.
๐ฏ Key Responsibilities
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the project, ensuring delivery on schedule, budget, and quality.
Manage the Project Management Team (PMT) across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning disciplines.
Oversee the contractual relationship with the EPCI contractor and key vendors.
Drive risk management, change control, and decision-making processes.
Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards and project-specific safety cultures.
Manage stakeholder relationships, including the client, partners, and regulatory bodies (ANP).
Lead the project through key milestones, including sail-away, hook-up, and first oil.
โ Core Requirements
Bachelorโs degree in Engineering (Masterโs or MBA preferred).
20+ years of experience in the offshore oil & gas industry, with at least 10 years in a senior project management role.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale FPSO projects (conversion or newbuild) on time and within budget.
Extensive experience managing projects in Asian fabrication yards (e.g., COSCO, Sembcorp) and Middle East yards.
Deep knowledge of FPSO topsides, marine systems, and subsea tie-backs.
Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and claims management.
Excellent leadership and cross-cultural communication skills.
Fluent English; proficiency in Mandarin or Portuguese is highly desirable.
