We are seeking a Quality & Operational Excellence (OpEx) Contractor to provide maternity cover for a global maritime and logistics group. Based in Singapore, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality management systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain and marine operations. This is a critical 6-month contract to ensure business continuity and uphold ISO standards.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and facilitate external certification audits.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conformances and incidents.
Drive Operational Excellence initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies to improve vessel turnaround times and logistics efficiency.
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality, safety, and operational efficiency, reporting trends to management.
Coordinate document control processes, ensuring all procedures and work instructions are current and accessible.
Support the tender and procurement process by reviewing supplier quality requirements.
✅ Core Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015 (IRCA or equivalent).
Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Management within the maritime, offshore, or logistics industry.
Proven experience with Lean or Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
Strong knowledge of document control systems (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decisions.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
