We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer (Lead Role) to join a global subsea and surface technologies company. This contract position involves leading process engineering activities for offshore and FPSO projects, ensuring technical integrity, safety, and compliance with industry standards. You will oversee a team of engineers, provide technical guidance, and interface with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust process designs.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Lead process design, simulation, and optimization for FPSO topsides, subsea systems, and surface facilities.
Develop and review P&IDs, PFDs, heat and material balances, and process datasheets.
Conduct process hazard analyses (HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA) and ensure compliance with API, ISO, and NORSOK standards.
Manage process engineering deliverables across FEED, detailed design, and commissioning phases.
Provide technical support for equipment selection (separators, compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers).
Interface with client, vendors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure project milestones.
Mentor junior engineers and review their work for accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
✅ Core Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in offshore oil & gas, with at least 5 years in a lead role on FPSO or subsea projects.
Proficiency in process simulation software (HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or UniSim).
Strong knowledge of hydrocarbon processing, separation, and gas treatment technologies.
Experience with safety studies (HAZOP, QRA, and SIL assessment).
Familiarity with international codes (API, ASME, ISO, and NORSOK).
Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing multi-disciplinary teams.
💡 Preferred Qualifications
Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Experience with subsea processing or HPHT systems.
