A leading international EPC contractor is seeking a skilled Subsea Flow Assurance Design Engineer to provide technical expertise for subsea oil and gas production system projects across the Asia-Pacific region. Based in Malaysia, Singapore, or Australia with potential offshore assignments, this role offers exciting exposure to world-class deepwater developments.You will be responsible for developing and implementing flow assurance strategies throughout the project lifecycle โ€” from FEED studies through detailed design, installation, and operational support. ๐ŸŽฏ Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct flow assurance design and analysis including thermal insulation, hydrate/wax/scale inhibition, slug control, and fluid transient analysis
  • Deliver FEED to detailed design: PFD, flow simulation reports, inhibition scheme design, and field operation optimization
  • Cooperate with subsea, pipeline, and process teams to ensure design compliance with project specifications and industry codes
  • Conduct design verification and risk assessment (HAZID/HAZOP)
  • Support offshore installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of flow assurance related systems
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation
  • Interface with clients, verification bodies, and regulatory authorities as required

โœ… Core Requirements

  • Proficiency in flow simulation software: OLGA, PIPESIM, or HYSYS; master fluid thermodynamics and multiphase flow theory
  • In-depth knowledge of API, DNV, ISO standards related to subsea flow assurance
  • Experience in deepwater (โ‰ฅ500m) projects is preferred
  • Ability to design chemical inhibition programs and conduct transient flow analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of subsea flow assurance design experience in offshore oil and gas projects
  • Fluent English for cross-border project communication and document preparation

  • Experience with deepwater (>1,500m water depth) or ultra-deepwater flow assurance projects
  • Familiarity with subsea processing, boosting systems, and subsea separation technologies
  • Knowledge of production chemistry and multiphase flow metering
  • Experience with TechnipFMC, Baker Hughes, or Subsea 7 project delivery models
  • Professional engineering license or Chartered Engineer status
