Subsea Installation Design Engineer

A leading international EPC contractor is seeking a Subsea Installation Design Engineer to develop installation design and construction schemes for subsea equipment including trees, manifolds, and pipelines across the APAC offshore region.You will conduct installation feasibility analysis, structural lifting stress calculation, and offshore operation risk assessment. Preparing installation drawings, operation manuals, and coordinating with marine, construction, and engineering teams, you will optimize installation processes to ensure safety, efficiency, and schedule compliance.This role offers hands-on exposure to offshore installation campaigns with a global EPC leader.

• Develop subsea equipment (trees, manifolds, pipelines) installation design and construction schemes, including installation tools, lifting analysis, and offshore operation procedures
• Conduct installation feasibility analysis, structural lifting stress calculation, and offshore operation risk assessment
• Prepare installation drawings, operation manuals, and coordinate with marine, construction, and engineering teams
• Optimize installation process to ensure construction safety, efficiency, and compliance with project schedule
• Formulate installation risk control measures and solve on-site construction technical problems
• Cooperate with offshore vessels and installation contractors
• Ensure compliance with offshore installation standards and project requirements

• Master lifting/installation analysis software: SACS, MOSES, or OrcaFlex; familiar with offshore installation technology and vessels
• Comprehensive understanding of subsea equipment installation, tie-in, and commissioning processes
• Experience in offshore construction design and installation engineering
• Ability to formulate installation risk control measures and solve on-site construction technical problems
• Bachelor's degree in Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related
• 5+ years of subsea installation design experience in offshore oil and gas projects
• Fluent English for cross-team technical communication

• Experience with deepwater installation campaigns (≥500m water depth)
• Familiarity with DP vessels, C-Lance, and subsea lift bags
• Knowledge of ROV-assisted installation and diverless intervention methods
• Experience with Subsea 7, Allseas, or Van Oord installation projects
• BOSIET/HUET certification and offshore survival training preferred

• Competitive daily rate: USD 300 – 450 per day (commensurate with experience)
• Permanent salary: MYR 9,000 – 14,000/month + allowances
