Subsea Jumper & Spool Design Engineer

A leading international EPC contractor is seeking a Subsea Jumper & Spool Design Engineer to support detailed design of subsea jumpers (rigid/flexible) and spools for deepwater field developments across the APAC region.You will be responsible for size selection, stress analysis, thermal expansion compensation, and connection design. Working with 3D modeling, drawing preparation, and BOM compilation, you will coordinate closely with manufacturing and installation teams to optimize design for constructability and cost efficiency.This role offers excellent exposure to subsea production system projects with strong professional development support.

• Detailed design of subsea jumpers (rigid/flexible) and spools, including size selection, stress analysis, thermal expansion compensation, and connection design
• Complete 3D modeling, drawing preparation, BOM compilation, and design document review
• Coordinate with manufacturing and installation teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct structural strength, fatigue, and installation feasibility analysis
• Optimize design to reduce cost and construction difficulty
• Comply with industry standards and project quality control requirements
• Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation

• Proficient in 3D design software: AutoCAD Plant 3D, SolidWorks, or PDMS; skilled in SACS/ANSYS for stress analysis
• Familiar with subsea pipeline connection technology, jumper/spool installation processes, and code requirements
• Experience in subsea field development projects, capable of independent design and optimization
• Engineering related bachelor's degree; 4+ years of subsea piping or jumper design experience
• Fluent English communication and documentation skills

• Experience with rigid jumper design for deepwater subsea production systems
• Familiarity with hot-tap and interface connector technologies
• Knowledge of diverless intervention (DHV/DDV) and ROV-compatible design
• Experience with TechnipFMC or Baker Hughes subsea hardware delivery
• Structural or mechanical engineering specialization preferred

• Competitive daily rate: USD 280 – 400 per day (commensurate with experience)
• Permanent salary: MYR 7,500 – 13,000/month + allowances
