Subsea Riser & Pipeline Dynamic Design Engineer

A leading international EPC contractor is seeking an experienced Subsea Riser & Pipeline Dynamic Design Engineer to provide technical leadership for deepwater riser and pipeline projects in the APAC region.You will lead dynamic and static design of subsea risers (SCR, flexible riser, hybrid riser) and pipelines, including route selection, stress analysis, fatigue assessment, and stability design. Working with hydrodynamic, VIV, seismic, and environmental load analysis, you will deliver compliant, optimized designs.This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the most complex deepwater projects in the region, with competitive compensation and clear career advancement pathways.

• Carry out dynamic and static design of subsea risers (SCR, flexible, hybrid) and pipelines, including route selection, stress analysis, fatigue assessment, and stability design
• Conduct hydrodynamic analysis, VIV analysis, and seismic/wave/current load calculations
• Complete design drawings and engineering calculation reports
• Cooperate with installation teams to optimize design for installability and offshore execution
• Ensure design compliance with DNV, API, ABS codes and project-specific requirements
• Solve technical problems in on-site construction and operational support
• Participate in design reviews and risk assessment workshops

• Master design software: SACS, ANSYS AQWA, Flexcom, or OrcaFlex; proficient in pipeline stress and dynamic analysis
• Solid experience in subsea riser/pipeline system design, familiar with deepwater riser technology
• Understand pipeline laying, trenching, and tie-in technologies; ability to conduct fatigue life and integrity assessment
• Bachelor's degree in Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related
• 6+ years of relevant subsea riser and pipeline design experience in offshore oil and gas
• Proficient in English reading, writing, and technical communication

• Experience with steel catenary risers (SCR) and lazy-wave configurations
• Familiarity with deepwater (≥1,500m) riser system design
• Knowledge of Subsea 7, TechnipFMC, or Allseas project delivery approaches
• Experience with DNV OS F201, API RP 2RD, or equivalent standards
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional qualification

• Competitive daily rate: USD 350 – 500 per day (commensurate with experience)
• Permanent salary: MYR 12,000 – 18,000/month + allowances (regional market rates apply)
