Senior Structural Engineer (Fixed-Term Contract)

Role Overview

Act as Lead/Deputy Lead/Senior Engineer in project execution, responsible for specific tasks Technical work for material requisitions Perform design calculations Coordinate with other departments Forecast material take-offs (MTOs) in design area Review vendor documents Correctly interpret third-party reports (geotechnical, bathymetry, metocean data) and incorporate into structural design basis Ensure engineering design meets codes and performance requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis for offshore installations
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings and specifications
• Ensure compliance with API RP 2A, AISC, DNV and other relevant codes
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines for structural interfaces
• Support fabrication and installation activities with structural engineering input
• Review contractor and vendor structural deliverables
• Conduct structural assessments and fitness-for-service evaluations
• Participate in design reviews and HAZOP/HAZID workshops
• Perform structural analysis using SACS for offshore platform and subsea structure design

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 7 years experience in design and execution of offshore facilities projects
• CGPA minimum 3.5 or Second Class Upper Honours degree
• SACS (proficient), USFOS (frequent use), GRLWEAP (frequent use)
